5StarWines - the Book

5StarWines – the Book is the first promotional guide by an international expo. It was born with the objective to offer wine producers an efficient promotional and marketing tool for their companies. The guide recognizes and rewards the quality of wines and the wineries represented. This process is accomplished through an objective panel of international judges, through a panel of international experts selected from Masters of wine, Master Sommeliers, Sommeliers from Star rated restaurants, through journalists, enologists, Italian Wine Experts and wine Ambassadors from the Vinitaly International Academy from different backgrounds and countries.

The guide, published in hard copy and in a digital format, in the English language, has spread in Italy and abroad through the major trade fairs in the sector, B2B meetings, tastings and masterclasses aimed at professionals in the wine business, thereby allowing wineries to access key players in the reference market.

The publication is distributed to a public composed of:

  • 500+ top buyers during Vinitaly
  • 200+ selected journalists
  • 100+ Wine Ambassadors from the Vinitaly International Academy
  • 100+ international judges
  • Wine Experts and key influencers from all over the world

The guide is therefore an important tool for buyers from all over the world who are constantly looking for new products and support in the panorama of wine production in order to make suggestions to their customers.

CONTENTS

5StarWines – the Book is a complete collection of all wines that receive a score of 90/100 or more during the three days of blind tasting by the panel of judges.

Each wine selected has a page dedicated to it along with photos, information about the company, a 5StarWines score and tasting notes of the panel.

A special section of the guide is dedicated to Wine Without Walls, the selection of wines without added sulphites or with sulphites added within 80 mg/lt. The panel of judges for Wine Without Walls is coordinated and chaired by Monty Waldin, expert and writer of biodynamic wines.
