The Judges

Judges and Scientific Committee

The wines participating to 5StarWines will be tasted by a panel of highly qualified, international experts, having been selected among Masters of Wine, Master Sommelier’s, WSET Diploma holders, VIA experts and ambassadors, oenologists and journalists.

The objectivity of the selection is guaranteed by the international panel of judges, with their varied professional backgrounds as well as with the blind tasting process.

Every year, the selection is carried out by the 5StarWines Scientific Committee, this years’ edition to be officiated by Lynne Sherriff MW. The jury is subdivided into panels made up of 5 judges each. Every panel has to taste a fixed number of wines during each session. Each panel is coordinated by a Panel Chairman.
